On-site Calibration

Being confident in the accuracy of your measuring equipment is every engineers and technicians highest priority. At Precisa we have been servicing and calibrating balances in the UK and Ireland since 1982. All our engineers have been trained at the Precisa Manufacturing plant in Switzerland on the full range of Precisa products.

Each engineer follows a detailed procedure for the calibration of each balance. These procedures have been audited and approved by both UKAS (17025)and SGS (ISO9001:2008).

Self Verification

Precisa was also accredited by NMI (Netherlands) through ISO9001 for the self verification of Class II and Class I weighing machines.

UKAS Accreditation

The company was UKAS Accredited for the calibration of non-automatic weighing machines up to 400kg. Please see the Calibration schedule on the UKAS web site referencing certificate number 0428. Calibration can be carried out on site in the UK and Ireland or in-house at our Milton Keynes laboratory. The company is an ISO 17025 certified company.

Test Equipment – Precisa maintain a range of Calibration Standards which are Traceable to National Standards.

Calibration - Together with its partner “Hanley Calibration” Precisa offer a full range of on-site calibration services including Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Analytical, Speed, and Time, among others.

Calibration Program Management – From the cradle to the grave Precisa offers a complete calibration program management service. This includes i nstrument assessment (Criticality, Accuracy, Frequency) service to access the classification of instrumentation in terms of criticality. This involves the determination of accuracies and frequencies as well as a rational backup. Writing standard operating procedures for maintenance and calibration of process instruments. These are normally written on the customer site and involve the input and cooperation of the personnel carrying out the intended procedures. Set up of calibration management system involving the generation of instrument lists, files, tagging and reminder systems. Implementing and the provision of training on these systems.

Outsourcing – Precisa can make its engineers available to clients to supplement its engineering resources on a long term or short term basis. With many of our clients this has allowed them to put their own resources in their core business especially during a start-up of a new plant.

Temperature and Humidity Mapping – Precisa provide an FDA compliant mapping service for the purpose of profiling a controlled chamber or area over a specified time period. Typical Temperature applications include Sterilisers, Autoclaves, Fridges, Freezers, Ovens and Incubators. Typical Temperature and Humidity applications include warehouses, Coldrooms, Computer and Server Clusters.
